2011 American Gold Buffalo Coins

The 2011 Gold Buffalo represented the sixth year of release for the popular 24 karat gold coin series. The one ounce bullion version of the coin went on sale in March 2011 and extended into the following year.

The US Mint began sales of the 2011 Proof Gold Buffalo in May 2011, representing a much earlier start than seen in the prior two years. The one ounce proof coins had variable pricing based on the average market price of gold. Collector enthusiasm remains high for this beautiful offering.
